• Ingot Mold Foundry Evaluation - to allow continuation of ingot mold casting operations.
• Raw Material Supply Study - secure supplies of slabs/scrap for a Pacific Rim steel producing firm.
• Melt Shop - developed a spending program to increase production for scrap handling, scrap preheating, electric arc furnace, AOD and VOD vessels. Developed technical requirements for a Ladle Refine Facility with a Degasser.
• Continuous Casting Study - to increase production for ladle and tundish handling, slab cutting and shipping.
• Caster Runout Feasibility Study - to double flame cutting capacity and add dross removal facilities to the runout area of Slab Caster.
• Slab Processing - developed a Slab Yard Strategic Facilites Plan to improve slab flow through a Slow Cool Area, Scarfer, Stripper, Conditioner, Preheater and Burn House.
• Reheating - experience working with Retrofitted Walking Beam Reheat Furnace, Pusher Reheat Furnace, Walking Hearth Billet Reheat Furnace, Regenerative and Recuperative Burners, Supervisory Controls, Hot Riders and Hot Skid Systems.
• Steckel Rolling Specifications/Layouts - for a Plate and Steckel Mill including a Reheat Furnace, controlled Cooling, Hot Leveller and Shear.
• Plate Rolling Facilities Plan - to improve productivity, yield, quality and safety for a Reheat Furnace, Rolling Mill, Leveller, Cooling Bed and Shear.
• Structural Rolling Mill Evaluation - of a Rehabiliation of a Structural Rolling Mill legal claim.
• Seamless Pipe Mill Evaluation
• Forging Specifications/Layout - tabulated and evaluated bids for a width and length measuring system for precision forges.
• Plate Finishing Facilities Strategic Plan - to improve quality and reduce production costs.
• Electrogalvanizing Line Facilities Strategic Plan
• Stainless Steel Annealing Line Conceptual Plan - including Z Mill, A&P; Line, Temper Mill with Stretcher Leveller, Slitter and Polisher.
• Cut-to-Length Line Specifications/Layout - for carbon & stainless steel line. Completed a Due Diligence Study for manufacturer of line equipment.
• Slitting Line Specifications/Layout - for stainless steel line which included Terminal Equipment and Wet Polishing Stands.
• Heat Treating/Quench & Temper Study - preliminary and final engineering for a Roller Hearth Furnace, and Roller Hearth Normalizing Furnace. Prepared various types of studies for Quench and Temper Line plate mills in the US and China.
• Warehousing Facilities Plan - for a stainless plate warehouse that included a relocation, space modifications, and equipment handling to improve profitability. Completed Site Search and Feasibility study for stainless steel processing/distribution warehouse.
• Environmental Feasibility Study - engineering of a Fume Collection System for an Electric Furnace Shop Fume Collection System.
